Brief Statement of research work
Aamer Shaheen has a PhD in English Literature and has taught English Literature for more than two decades. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor of English Literature in the Department of English Literature at Government College University, Faisalabad, Pakistan. He has published many academic research papers in various national and international research journals. He has published two monographs: National Imagination and Diasporic Identities in Pakistani Anglophone 9/11 Fiction (2020, Misaal Publishers) and The State of Nation, Diasporic Predicaments, and War Memories in Contemporary South Asian Anglophone Fiction (2022, Misaal Publishers). He served as Fulbright Post-Doctorate Visiting Scholar (2024-2025) at the Department of English, Texas Tech University, Lubbock, Texas, USA. He spends his time voraciously reading fictions in englishes and lives between Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, and Faisalabad.
