Brief Statement of research work

The focal point of my research is about the changing dynamics of the U.S. foreign policy and its strategic influence on South Asia and the Middle East in the wider framework of the global power transition. I discuss the influence of the grand strategy of the United States on regional security structures, alliances, and conflict patterns, specially as a result of the emergence of China and strategic rebalancing of Pakistan. One of my fundamental aspects investigates the U.S.China strategic competition, and its effects on the South Asian and Middle East in terms of regional stability, economic interconnectivity and military balancing. Another significant area in my scholarship is the relationship between the changing trends in cooperation and rivalry and the foreign policy decisions taken by Pakistan, its regional affiliations, and its place in new multipolar order.The other area of my scholarship is on the issue of conflict management and resolution. My critical evaluation of U.S. intervention policies, mediation measures, and diplomatic approaches to protracted conflicts in the Middle East and South Asia, in general, helps comprehend how the changes in global powers reinvent regional structures, reformulate the strategic alliances, and affect the outcome of conflicts. I also hope that by combining theory with policy analysis I can create scholarship that would shape scholarly conversations and offer practical conclusions to decision-makers going through the intricate process of geopolitical change.
