Brief Statement of research work

My research centres on corporate finance, corporate governance, and empirical finance, with a strong focus on gender diversity, managerial ability, corporate real estate investment, CSR, and firm investment efficiency. Through rigorous empirical analysis using data from listed firms, particularly in developing markets like Pakistan, I examine how internal governance mechanisms influence financial policies, firm value, and strategic decision-making. A significant stream of my work explore how female job characteristics and leadership structures (such as female duality) moderate governance performance relationships. Another key area of my research analyses managerial ability and managerial incentives, assessing their impact on market value. In addition, I contribute to the literature on corporate real estate investment by studying its effect on firm performance and synthesizing multidisciplinary perspectives on nonfinancial firms. My work also examines how corporate social responsibility (CSR) affects firm investment efficiency, highlighting the moderating role of firm size. Overall, my research aims to provide evidence-based insights into how governance structures, diversity, managerial quality, and strategic asset allocation enhance firm performance and sustainable financial decision-making.
