Brief Statement of research work

I am an academic whose research interests range from a broad spectrum of literary studies to cultural and critical debates related to gender, class, religion, politics and resistance. In pursuing my research and academic goals, i consciously affiliate myself with the group of theorists including Said, Mohanty, Parry and Norris who insist in viewing literature and culture at the intersection of myriad extra-literary forces as constitutive as well as constituting each other. in recent years, i am particularly interested in understanding the complex dimensions of resistance and representation as they manifest in different social and political movements in Pakistan and South Asia as significant geopolitical categories and locales of the global south.
