Brief Statement of research work

My research area is mainly focused on South Asia, Afghanistan, Pashtuns' History (their sociopolitical struggle for survival and power), Pakistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (the Khudai Khedmatgars' Movement) and the tribal areas of Pakistan. But besides, my research also sometime deal with deep historical currents of Buddhism, colonialism and imperialism and also the regional dynamics of power and hegemony. In this context, my research sometimes cover wider range of subjects like the China and the Middle East. As a student of History, my research work highlights the history of Pashtuns and Afghanistan and the relations between Afghanistan and Pakistan since the creation of the later and particularly after the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. The articles also covers the recent era after 2001 as to make a comprehensive case for the history of Afghanistan. Not only the Mujahideen but also the Taliban are used as frame of reference for the research and during that period the various treaties and their implications have been discussed analytically at length. Sometimes a comparison between the strategies for occupation and withdrawal of the super powers have been tackled with the support of evidences.
