Brief Statement of research work

My research primarily focuses on the socio-political and intellectual history of Pakistan, with particular emphasis on constitutional development, federalism, inter-provincial harmony, and the role of Islamic thought in state formation. My work critically examines the evolution of political institutions, democratic transitions, and governance structures in Pakistan within both historical and contemporary contexts. A significant area of my research explores regional and local histories, especially the intellectual, cultural, and spiritual heritage of Punjab, including the evolution of Sufi shrines and their socio-cultural impact in Faisalabad. My work integrates historical methodology with qualitative analysis to understand how religion, culture, and politics intersect in shaping Pakistani society.
