Brief Statement of research work

My main interest is in postcolonial studies and I focus on Pakistani Literature in English and Translation. Issues like identity and belongingness characterize South Asian Anglophone Literature. As I also teach Postmodernism and other Modern Literary Theories, I believe deconstructing western narratives holds great promise for the `cultural others?. I encourage students to study and carry out research on Shakespeare from Postcolonial perspective.
