Brief Statement of research work

Hard and soft magnetic materials are essential materials to improve electricity transmission and utilization. Oil-based machines and induction motors can be replaced by permanent magnet motors. High temperature hard magnetic materials are in demand for electric vehicles and wind turbines. Moreover, soft magnetic materials also play a key role in the design of energy-efficient and compact electrical machines. The mechanical and thermal loadings can significantly affect the magnetic properties of these materials. Indeed ferromagnetic materials, used in cores for transformers and rotating machines, exhibit a strongly coupled magneto-thermal-mechanical behavior.
