Brief Statement of research work

My research interests are primarily in the field of economics, with a focus on financial economics, development economics, and applied econometrics. I am particularly interested in examining how financial structures and market dynamics influence firm performance and economic development in emerging economies such as Pakistan. My work explores issues related to leverage, dividend policy, working capital management, and intellectual capital, and how these factors affect productivity, profitability, and financial stability of firms. I also study financial market behavior, including stock market anomalies and calendar effects, to better understand investor behavior and market efficiency. In addition, my research considers the role of human capital, entrepreneurship, and institutional factors in promoting sustainable economic growth and improving livelihoods. Using quantitative and empirical methods, I aim to provide evidence-based insights that contribute to economic policy, financial decision-making, and sustainable development strategies, particularly in developing and transitional economies.
