Brief Statement of research work

My research lies at the intersection of organizational studies, institutional theory, and interpretive social science. I am particularly interested in how actors coordinate, justify, and legitimize their actions within organizations and broader social systems. Drawing on the Sociology of Conventions and related institutional perspectives, my work explores organizational change, research evaluation, academic work, and the social construction of value. More recently, my research has focused on the societal relevance of scholarship, questioning the growing dominance of metric-based research evaluation and advocating for forms of knowledge production that contribute to meaningful social transformation, particularly in the Global South. Through my research and teaching, I seek to bridge theoretical insight with practical and societal concerns, promoting a more reflexive, context-sensitive, and impactful understanding of organizations and research.
