Brief Statement of research work
Dr. Safdar Husain Tahir is an Associate Professor of Finance and Director of Procurement & Inventory Control at Government College University, Faisalabad, Pakistan. He holds a PhD in Business Administration (Finance) and a Postdoctoral Fellowship from UWA Business School, University of Western Australia, Perth.
He pioneered the use of fsQCA methodology in Pakistan, conducting capacity-building workshops at leading universities, including UOG, Riphah, GCUF, Arid Agriculture University, University of Swabi, Szabist Islamabad, Mohi-ud-Din Islamic University, and University of Science & Technology Bannu. Dr. Tahir has published 100+ articles in HEC-recognized and Web of Science-indexed journals (including Sage Open, Natural Resources Forum, PLOS ONE, Heliyon, and Frontiers in Psychology) and has developed models such as the Two-Tier Corporate Governance Model for Pakistan and the Islamic Entrepreneurship and Business Mindset Teaching Model.
He has presented his research internationally in the USA, Australia, Italy, Spain, Germany, Malaysia, UAE, Qatar, Romania, and Denmark, including at the 77th Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management (Atlanta, USA). He has supervised 55 MS and 4 PhD students and conducted numerous national and international workshops on research methods, fsQCA, Procurement planning, and financial management. Dr. Tahir is an HEC-approved supervisor and a resource person for the National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE).
