Brief Statement of research work

My research focuses on the application of nanoparticles as innovative solutions to combat antibiotic-resistant pathogens and address environmental challenges. A key aspect of this work involves the green synthesis of nanoparticles using plant extracts, which act as natural reducing and stabilizing agents and enhance antibacterial efficacy. The research also investigates quorum quenching strategies to disrupt bacterial quorum sensing systems responsible for virulence and biofilm formation, thereby providing alternative approaches to control pathogenic microorganisms without relying solely on conventional antibiotics. In addition, these nanoparticles are evaluated for their ability to penetrate and inhibit biofilms through multiple mechanisms, including membrane disruption and oxidative stress. Beyond antimicrobial applications, the work also explores the potential of nanoparticles in bioremediation for the removal transformation of environmental pollutants such as heavy metals and dyes, contributing to sustainable environmental management. Meanwhile, different plant extracts are also investigated as antibacterial agents.
