Brief Statement of research work

My research centers on microbial safety, mycotoxin control, and antimicrobial resistance with an emphasis on sustainable and innovative solutions for food and pharmaceutical systems. My doctoral work at the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences focused on the molecular characterization of ochratoxin A???producing Aspergillus species isolated from poultry feed and the evaluation of plant essential oils as natural inhibitors of fungal growth and mycotoxin production. This work contributed to developing eco-friendly strategies for mycotoxin mitigation in stored grains and feed commodities. Building upon this foundation, my current research at the Government College University Faisalabad explores natural antimicrobials, probiotic interventions, phage???antibiotic synergism, and nanobiotechnology-based diagnostics to combat multidrug-resistant and foodborne pathogens. I have investigated the antifungal and antibacterial potential of essential oils against resistant strains such as Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Candida albicans, and Salmonella spp. My research integrates molecular biology techniques, chromatographic mycotoxin analysis, and applied microbiological approaches to address challenges in food safety, public health, and antimicrobial stewardship. Through publications, student supervision, and collaborative projects, I aim to advance evidence-based, sustainable strategies for microbial quality assurance and disease control.
