Brief Statement of research work

Emerging evidence evolved the significance of resident microbes as natural inhabitant of the gut. Gut microbiome as new organ system show dynamism in its potential in maintaining the homeostasis. Research group is focused to observe behavior of resident microbiome in health and disease states. Recent published work highlighted the presence of homologous protein YdgR and hPept1 mediate the transport of orally administered drugs. Current PhD projects are based on finding the impact of oral Drugs, prebiotics, probiotic in transformation of gut microbiome thus translating benefits in different disease conditions in silico studies and 16s rRNA sequencing in relation to physiological responses. Oxidative stress affects gene expression regulation and RNA biology of diabetes, cardiovascular disorder and secondary complications. Research is focused to find involvement of various pathways in the development of target organ damage (TOD). Incomplete understanding of the cellular mechanisms drive cells through normal development and the pathological and environmental changes that cause them to deviate towards disease. Understanding and predicting the future course of a disease will devise the most effective strategy for an individual patient.
