Brief Statement of research work
My research interests are deeply rooted in exploring the complex histories surrounding the partitions of the Indian subcontinent in 1947 and Pakistan in 1971, focusing on the painful experiences of refugees whose lives were forever changed by these significant events. Additionally, I am keen to examine the intricate social landscape of Pakistan, paying special attention to the dynamics of the landed aristocracy, the resilience of the peasantry, social movements, women's land rights, and grassroots struggles that shape the land rights discourse in the country.
