Brief Statement of research work
My research is situated at the intersection of transnationalism, postcolonial studies, and eco-criticism, with a particular focus on Pakistani Anglophone English writings. It investigates how Pakistani literary texts articulate experiences of migration, displacement, identity formation, environmental precarity, and postcolonial memory. Through this interdisciplinary framework, my work examines the ways in which Pakistani writers represent the relationship between people, place, nation, and ecology within local and global contexts. The research seeks to contribute to contemporary literary scholarship by foregrounding Pakistani Anglophone literature as a significant site for understanding transnational identities, ecological consciousness, and the continuing impact of colonial and neo-colonial structures.
