Brief Statement of research work

My research is driven by a commitment to understanding the economic forces that shape human welfare, sustainability, and development. Drawing on rigorous quantitative and econometric methods, I investigate complex intersections across development economics, environmental and energy economics, financial stability, agricultural trade, health economics, and digital transformation. A central thread running through my work is the question of how policy ??? whether fiscal, trade, environmental, institutional ??? translates into measurable outcomes for households, communities, and economies. My research has examined energy demand and ecological footprints, the socioeconomic burden of natural disasters, financial inclusion across global economies, child nutrition and maternal health in South Asia, and the adoption of green and digital technologies in developing country contexts. I place particular emphasis on evidence-based policy analysis, employing advanced econometric frameworks including panel data models, CGE modeling, DEA, ARDL, and non-linear approaches to generate findings that are both methodologically sound and policy-relevant. My work has been published in leading Web of Science and Scopus-indexed journals and has informed national curriculum development, HEC policy review, and international development projects funded by ACIAR, the British Council, the European Union, and UNICEF. Ultimately, my research aspires to bridge the gap between economic theory and real-world development challenges ??? contributing to more equitable, resilient, and sustainable societies in Pakistan and beyond.
