Basic Information
Brief Statement of research work
I am an environmental and climate scientist working on the interactions between climate variability, extreme climate events, and air pollution, particularly in Pakistan and South Asia. My research focuses on understanding the spatiotemporal dynamics of climate extremes, droughts, heatwaves, and atmospheric pollutants, and their links with large-scale climate drivers and societal impacts. I use climate datasets, environmental observations, and interdisciplinary analytical approaches to investigate environmental change and its implications for public health and sustainability. My work has been published in leading journals including Nature Climate Change, International Journal of Climatology, and GeoHealth. I actively present my research at international scientific forums such as the American Geophysical Union Fall Meeting (AGU), European Geosciences Union General Assembly (EGU), IUGG, and GEWEX Open Science Conference, and participate in international trainings on climate science, air pollution, and Earth system data.
