Brief Statement of research work

My research engages with contemporary South Asian Anglophone fiction, with a particular focus on South Asian chick lit and its negotiations of gender, neoliberalism, and postfeminist subjectivity.My work interrogates themes of agency, choice, entrepreneurial femininity, consumer culture, and the body makeover, exploring postfeminist sensibilities intersecting with transnational modalities, localized socio-cultural structures, and Desi sensibilities.
