Basic Information
Brief Statement of research work
My work focuses on promoting equity, inclusion, and quality in education, particularly within higher education systems in developing contexts. I examine how diversity, governance structures, and institutional policies influence access, participation, and leadership representation, especially for women and marginalized communities. A central strand of my research explores women empowerment through higher education, using feminist and poststructuralist perspectives inspired by scholars such as Christine Weedon. I critically analyze legal, structural, and cultural barriers that limit women???s participation in university leadership and academic spaces. I also investigate social-emotional learning and the affective domain, examining how teachers??? emotional intelligence???conceptualized in frameworks popularized by Daniel Goleman???and instructional efficacy impact students??? academic achievement and self-efficacy. In addition, my work addresses digital literacy and educational technology, exploring how technology-enhanced learning environments can support inclusive education and improve student engagement. Through research, policy analysis, and teacher education initiatives, I aim to strengthen educational systems so they become socially responsive, inclusive, and transformative.
